Welcome to Mike’s Traditional Fish & Chips, our thriving establishment that we opened in January 2019 and has since become well-known for its success. Recognised as one of the UK’s top 20 Fish & Chip takeaways for 2020-2026, Mike’s is situated on Spring Lane in Bishopstoke, near Riverside. Meet The Management
Introducing the Mike’s management team! These dedicated individuals make our shop what it is today and, alongside our talented serving staff, produce the award-winning fish & chips that’s made Mike’s Traditional Fish & Chips the respected and well loved name it is today.
Mike Isaac: The Owner and Manager of Mike’s. Working in the industry since the age of 16, Mike has over 15 years experience and has prepared and served literally millions of meals! Starting out at The Codfather in Hedge End back in 2009, Mike worked in every one of the Lee Family’s shops, until he took the opportunity to go into business with the Lee’s and opened Mike’s Traditional Fish & Chips in 2019.
Jess Isaac: Mike’s younger sister and Assistant Manageress. Worked with Mike at Sonny’s in Fair Oak and Moved with him to Mike’s in 2019. Jess has a great rapport with customers and provides a smiley, friendly greeting to regulars and new visitors alike. Jess is an experienced friar who, along with Jacob, takes excellent charge of the shop when Mike’s not around.
Jacob Grigg: Mike’s right hand man and Assistant Manager. Jacob began working with Mike back in 2018 and became Assistant Manager after showing great talent and commitment. Jacob is a very experienced friar and a natural leader, working with Jess to run the shop on Mike’s days off.
Emma Isaac: Mike’s youngest sister and Shop Supervisor. Emma has worked at Mike’s almost since the beginning and has shown a great willingness to learn. She was appointed as Supervisor and continues to learn about the industry and take on more responsibility as a senior member of Mike’s team.

Read from a local Gazette stating Mike's Traditional Fish and Chips shop won several awards in recent years, so we went and gave it a try ! I must admit, we were NOT disappointed at all ! The Fish was fresh and crispy, and most importantly very tasty. Chips are nice, not soggy. The Battered and Plain Sausages were very good, but not good enough to be considered as outstanding. We do visit Mike's on a regular basis now and got ourselves a VIP Reward Card, and we get FREE chips every 5 visits. Nice !!! Definitely recommend Mike's Traditional Fish and Chips.

Really happy with our experiences with Mike's fish and chips shop. Our youngest has multiple allergies and the team have always been helpful and understanding in double checking ingredients. Which is a great win as the food is tasty, pretty fast and always freshly made.

The fish was freshly cooked. They tell you where the fish comes from, and what kind of potatoes have made your chips. The food itself was really good. The chips could have been a little bit more crisp, but maybe that's down to the variety! The service was absolutely excellent and prompt with a good estimation of how long it would take to cook it fresh. I would absolutely have another meal from this place. The batter is crispy. The food is fresh. What more could you want and it's all served with a smile. Do expect to pay for sauces which is completely fair. So order that with your meal if you need or want some
