About Us
We are pleased to present Sonny’s, an excellent addition to our family business that carries the name of our youngest Lee family member. Since opening its doors in April 2015, Sonny’s has quickly become well-known, winning the title of fish and chip store of the year in the area. Famous for our dedication to quality, at Sonny’s we provide delicious fish and chips for takeaway. We carefully consider every little element in our menu as we prepare each meal, using only the best, freshest ingredients. At Sonny’s, we strive to provide an outstanding eating experience that reflects our commitment to authenticity and excellence, rather than just serving fish and chips.
At Sonny’s we are ready to fulfil your expectations with flavour and convenience, whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or putting in a large order. Located on Sandy Lane in Fair Oak, we serve large orders and are open six days a week, including bank holidays, starting at 4:30. Ordering your favourite foods from Sonny’s is always convenient, whether you’d rather call, walk in, or prefer to use Deliveroo, or Uber Eats.
Meet The Management
Sonny started at J-Henry’s at aged 11, but had been in the shop in a pram since he was born.
“If you cut me open Fish & Chips would probably fall out!”
Fish and Chips is all he has ever done, and has enjoyed serving the Customers at J-Henry’s for over 20 years. Customers have also enjoyed seeing Sonny’s journey grow from a young boy to a man, now married to Danielle and has 3 kids of his own.
Sonny more recently has grown the social media platforms and amassed millions of views around the world, and has featured on TV various times, national newspapers and taken J-Henry’s from strength to strength.

Our Reviews
We had delivery of 50 meals a mix of fish, fishcake, sausages plain and battered, pea fritters. All very good, very hot. Delivered on time for our AGM party. Mushy peas and curry sauce were great additions. Loads of positive comments from those attending the party. This is second party catered for and both great.

We called Sonny's this evening to make them aware we had 20 scouts and would be stopping to buy chips from them as part of our chip shop hike evening we arrived just after the time we said to expect us and they handled everything perfectly everyone got exactly what the had ordered and it was all hot and freshly cooked. We really enjoyed the food this evening. Will use sonny's again in the future.

Great food with amazing service. Every single staff member had a smile on their face. They were all very kind and helpful even recommending some items to try on the menu. All the food was perfect. The batter was lovely and crispy. The chips were hot and fresh. The curry sauce was lovely. And the fish cakes and pies were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Prices were cheap and the food was more than worth the value. Again the staff were super.
